From the very start in 1981 when our independent insurance brokerage began, we had a focus on providing our clients with a premium insurance service throughout Glasgow, West Central Scotland, and now the rest of the United Kingdom from our London offices.

Nowadays, this mission remains unchanged – and now we can bring 40 years experience to the table as well. We have worked with all types of clients, large and small, from many different industries.

We have dealt with complex insurances and adapted our policies as risks change in the modern world, such as cyber risks. We keep up to date with what the industry demands and we aim to provide insurances to businesses that offers ultimate peace of mind, no matter what needs covering.

Graeme joined the company in 1988 and has been instrumental in the company's commercial business development, working closely with customers from one man bands and SME's to large corporate clients, and is personally responsible for access to many of the exclusive schemes that we enjoy today.

Graeme is a key driver in all aspects of the sales and marketing functions within the company.

Now Chairman of the group of companies and still working closely with clients and all staff each day.

Graeme having previously worked with Swinton Insurance and now having been with Hamilton Robertson for over 20 years.

He holds a Diploma with the Chartered Insurance Institute and is working towards an Associateship.

Graeme is still responsible for placing commercial insurance risks for new and existing clients in addition to the managerial role he holds.

Now Managing Director and running the organisation on a day to day basis.

Group Accounts Manager

Irene previously worked with Royal & Sun Alliance and has worked for the company for over 20 years.

She progressed through our Company starting in our Renewals Department, then the Underwriting Department and onto our Accounts Department.

As Group Accounts Manager Irene manages all monies coming in and out of the business. This is a vital role for reasons of ensuring prompt premium collection, paying insurers and even making sure all staff are paid correctly and on time.

Before joining Hamilton Robertson in 2011, David had previously been a Director of Bank of Scotland Insurance Services and then a Glasgow based independent insurance broker.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Broker.

Unfortunately David, our friend and colleague, passed away earlier in 2021 and is sadly missed by all his friends, clients and co workers.

David formed Burns Crosson (Scotland) Ltd in 1990 and was successful in building a book of quality commercial businesses throughout West Central Scotland. Including many household names.

With the advent of National Brokers aggressive marketing and bulk purchasing power David saw the opportunity of a strategic fit with HRIB Ltd and has brought with him his wide experience. David has a key role to play in the training and development of our staff and he is always keeping up to date with compliance matters.

David is now in semi retirement however he still works part time and is helping clients he has known for a long time.

With Jack recently being promoted to MD at HRIB London, it must be said he has worked very hard over the years helping commercial clients get great results, and staying on side with all of his London Market insurance contacts. From his previous roles at Miles Smith, PIB and Parker Norfolk he has a wealth of knowledge and placing experience. His new and old clients get the benefit of our solid insurer relationships both in Glasgow and London, and, if the truth be told there is nothing more that Jack gets personal satisfaction from than fighting for the most competitive premiums and terms for every single client. Jack can be found in our Glasgow or London office, and he is always available to meet clients at their premises, to have a look around and start the policy review process. His specialisms range from motor traders, fleet operators including haulage, taxi and courier, football and rugby clubs, property owners, wholesalers, e risks, importers and export and IT. Jillian first worked for the firm in the late 80’s and went on to further her career with Norwich Union/Aviva. She returned to Hamilton Robertson in 2010 and is a very important factor in connection with many aspects of the business including claims and customer service.

She holds Cert CII.

Following the purchase of the business of C & A Mackie Insurance Consultants Limited she was promoted to Manager of our C & A Mackie Insurance division.
